Orientation to how Capella Online System works. It is a complete online school. Each class is broken down into weekly discussions, which is designed to discuss assignments presented by the instructor of the class.

There are no traditional assessments. Instead, each discussion uses a holisitic rubric. Usually each week questions are given by the instructor for each student to answer, with research from at least one scholarly journal, book, et al. All discussions are to be written in APA format. All sources are to be written using APA guidelines.

Each class usually has a research paper or project assessed by the instructor using a holisitic rubric. APA guidelines for paper or project are mandatory. Plagiarism is highly discouraged and consequences are costly; hence, the encouragement of the use of APA guidelines to help avoid plagiarism.
